She’s a college fashion student in New York City, moved in from Texas and expected all of her problems to be a background, because it’s New York, right? However, she keeps finding herself getting into messes. I’ve tried many times to take a breath and describe her in one sentence but it just won’t come out. So, let’s start with a little introduction, shall we? This is a very character driven story. Consider this a massive content warning for eating disorders, dysmorphia, bulimia, cancer, female fertility and parental abandonment. It was a very emotional experience, let’s say that. It’s interesting because, at the level this book pulled on my heartstrings, I find that it will be very hard for me to talk about this book yet I still feel like I can talk about it for hours simultaneously.
